Saif Ali Khan Calls His Dil Bechara Co-Star Late Sushant Singh Rajput A Talented Actor: 'I Got The Feeling He Was Brighter Than I Was'
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 after hanging himself in his Bandra residence and his untimely demise left the entire nation deeply sad. Many fans and friends took to their social media and shared their condolences and eulogies for the actor. In a recent conversation with The New Indian Express, Sushant's Dil Bechara co-star Saif Ali Khan said that the late actor ‘had a bright future,’ as he was brighter than himself. He called him a talented actor and a ‘good looking guy.’

While having a conversation with the portal, Saif was quoted saying, “I thought he had a bright future. He was polite to me and appreciated my guest appearance in the film. He wanted to talk about many topics like astronomy and philosophy. I got the feeling he was brighter than I was.” Saif also spoke how Sushant wanted to come to have drinks with and discuss various things.

He even mentioned that Rajput told him how he was a background dancer during one of his dance performances. “When I did my guest appearance in his Dil Bechara, I think he was quite happy with that. He was very nice to me and he said he wanted to come and have a drink and talk about various things, which never happened, which I feel bad about. Maybe I could have, you know, helped in some way or not… I don’t know. But after working with him, I quite liked him because he was nice. And then he told me he danced behind me as Shiamak’s dancer during the Melbourne Commonwealth Games (in 2006). And so I was congratulating him on how far he’d come, you know,” Khan said.

After Sushant's sudden demise, netizens along with some filmmakers started calling out ‘Big industry people’ for their double standards and hypocrisy. Nevertheless, Saif Ali Khan also felt the same and thought that the sudden love for Sushant Singh Rajput after his death from the film industry is ‘a little much to digest.’ He told the same portal that a day of silence or introspection would have been nice instead of pretending to care. ALSO READ: Saif Ali Khan Opens Up About Being A Victim Of Nepotism, ‘Somebody's Dad Rung Up And Said Don't Take Him'
